Jagged Edge singer Brandon Casey reveals severe injuries from car accident

Brandon Casey is giving thanks to those who looked after him in his hour of need.
Casey, one-fourth of the R&B group Jagged Edge, revealed on Instagram Tuesday that he was injured in a recent car crash. The singer shared a photo of his hospital form and gave a warm shoutout to the staff of Atlanta's Grady Memorial Hospital.
"I have to send a big thank (you) to @grady.hospital after bein(g) in ICU for five days," Casey wrote. "I kno(w) the legendary Grady Trauma Center is everything. It's said to be the best in the country. Y'all saved my life and I’m forever grateful..
"I'm so thankful to all (you) ladies who took care of me, who have nursed me, fed me, encouraged me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, the most sincere thank (you) I can conjure up."
While Casey didn't offer many details on the incident that led to his hospitalization, the "Where the Party At" singer said he sustained a broken neck, five broken ribs, a skull fracture, scalp lacerations and "a bunch of pain all over my body."

"But (I'm going to) be good. I promise y'all," Casey concluded. "God got me. It’s like something (trying to) take me off this planet, and God keep tellin(g) (th)em, ‘Nope, not him. Not yet’ … All praises to the most high, most awesome, most wonderful God. Thank (you) lord!!!! From (yo)ur loyal soldier."
USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Jagged Edge for comment.

Brandon Casey shares photo of damaged car after hospitalization
On Wednesday, Casey took to Instagram again to share a photo of his car following the crash that landed him in the hospital.
In the photo, the driver's side of Casey's vehicle is visibly totaled.
"I never post these type(s) (of) pictures upon delivering the news that I('ve) been hurt (‘cause) the people who really love me don’t play about me, and I don’t (want to) add to (their) fright of how I may be doin(g)," Casey wrote. "But (I’m going to) jus(t) post this, jus(t) so (you) kno(w) neither wreck was a fender bender."
Casey added: "I could be, probably should be dead 🙏🏾🦾 Oh, except the big fact that God does protect his flock🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾🦾"

This isn't the first time Casey has spoken about his troubles behind the wheel. In September 2023, Casey alluded to being in a car crash when he shared a photo of a damaged vehicle on social media.
