It’s a “Doggy Dogg World,” and Snoop Dogg’s in charge.
The rapper dove into the role of special correspondent for the 2024 Paris Olympics, and it’s safe to say he’s won gold with his Team USA looks and commentary.
And that started even before the games officially began when he carried the Olympic torch through the streets of Sain-Denis as one of the final torchbearers ahead of the Opening Ceremony. Though in this circumstance, he made sure to not, as his iconic song states, “drop it like it’s hot” while carrying the famous flame alongside actress Laetitia Casta and rapper MC Solaar.
"I felt like Muhammad Ali," he told NBC News after the ceremony. "I found out that when you hold the torch, you're a peace messenger."
"I was waving, shaking hands, kissing the babies—doing what I do, you understand me,” Snoop continued. “Putting my foot in the pavement, letting the people know that we're here. We're here for peace, love, unity and great sportsmanship."
The “Gin and Juice” rapper practiced what he preached by serving as Team USA’s biggest hype man throughout the games. Indeed, he has been everywhere, supporting American athletes in events ranging from judo to beach volleyball to skateboarding.
Case in point? Snoop proved nobody was having more fun than him at the Olympics when he was cheering on the U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team with his iconic dance moves. And as he brought the energy from the stands, gymnasts Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles couldn’t help but join in as the trio had a dance party during the women’s gymnastics qualification.
Along with being a fan in the stands, Snoop got his feet wet and put his “swimmer’s body,” as he joked to Michael Phelps, to the test during a special lesson from the former swimming legend. The two, who “go back like backstroke,” tested out their lung power and put their skills to the test.
“Mike, you make this look too easy,” Snoop admitted to the 23-time gold medal winner after swimming a lap, per a video posted on X by NBC Sports. “As you can see, I’m in gold medal condition.”
And to top it all off, Snoop continues to prove his number one fan status through his fashion choices, sporting a series of custom T-shirts that feature the faces of Team USA athletes. So far, he has featured gymnast Simone Biles, track and field star Noah Lyles, tennis player Coco Gauff and beach volleyball teammates Sarah Hughes and Kelly Chang in his iconic looks.
In fact, he even had the opportunity to give Coco a custom pin—while wearing her face on his shirt, of course—that featured himself blowing smoke in the shape of the Olympic rings.
“Got something for you, beautiful,” Snoop said in an Instagram clip posted by the United States Tennis Association. “This is for you. Great game today. Go, USA.”
And for the tennis star, he aced the gift.
“Hey, Mr. Snoop. Thanks for this pin,” Gauff replied. “This is the best pin I've ever gotten.”

Snoop Dogg prepared for his new role as a special NBC Olympics correspondent by making an appearance on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with none other than track and field sprinter Noah Lyles' face printed on his T-shirt.
The rapper ran on the track, showing off his Noah shirt and custom bib, on day three of the U.S. Track & Field Olympic Team Trials.
Ahead of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics, the correspondent posed alongside fencer Katharine Holmes in matching blue tracksuits at the Team USA Welcome Experience.
Snoop posed in a Polo Ralph Lauren Team USA blazer, fitting right in with the rest of the team.
Snoop traded in his red, white and blue outfits for a medal-worthy appearance at the Prelude to the Olympics party ahead of the opening ceremony, where he stunned in a metallic gold suit.
Dressed in all white, he carried the Olympic flame as one of the final torch bearers ahead of the Olympic Games 2024 opening ceremony.
Snoop returned to his Team USA attire while watching the Women's Artistic Gymnastics Qualifiers on day two of the Olympic Games.
The "Gin and Juice" rapper fanned himself in the stands with tennis player Coco Gauff on his shirt at the Men's Skateboarding Street Finals on day three of the Olympic Games.
Gymnastics star Simone Biles gets more than just a T-Shirt, she gets a whole zip-up jacket. Snoop posted this iconic photo to his Instagram to the song "When Somebody Loves You Back."
Snoop wore beach volleyball star Sara Hughes' face on his zip-up as he cheered them on.
"I had a chance to meet these ladies and fell in love with them, their whole strategic approach as far as their teamwork and how the keep family and sisterhood," he told NBC Sports before the match. "That's so important, and I just love supporting them."
He zipped down his jacket with Sara's face on it to reveal teammate Kelly Cheng's face!
Snoop Dogg and fellow Long Beach, California, native Billie Jean King posed for an iconic photo while watching the second round of men's singles.
